We're in the same boat, I applied in July and my documents were received in August

January 6 - It's been almost 3 months and still no news yet after receiving Avis. I mean 3 months if we don't count the 2 weeks of holidays. The good news is my work permit got approved right before the holidays!

@matchayuki I’m glad least you have your work permit stress dealt with, this waiting period for CSQ is truly stressful, it’s eating away at my soul. For me my 6months waiting period was passed on the 3rd Jan, but they’ve even removed the 6 month clause for prtq.

I had my documents receipt acknowledged in late october ‘24, applied in September first week. Application has been in En traitement throughout, is it too soon to expect an answer. Also, I am getting married pretty soon what are my options

Depends on the programme you applied to. PEQ can be treated within 6 months, PRTQ has no timeline

I know. I just got an update today. They're requesting that I attend an interview to demonstrate that I can speak French. It took almost a year for me with the process, but this will be done soon thankfully! If I pass the interview, the CSQ should be approved right away.

But didn’t you already do your French language tests, I thought scoring B2 in listening and speaking is sufficient for them to assess our French skills?

There's a possibility of an interview with PEQ worker stream even with B2 in listening and speaking, so this is expected. I even did 4 skills and got B2 on 3 of them. 2 other people in the thread also had to go through an interview too. The good news is if the interview goes well, I can receive my CSQ in early February.

December 17: demande attestation des valeurs QC
status was unchanged from demande until yesterday:
January 6: En attente de traitement
