If you are in Quebec, its so sad but normal. They have a really horrible long waiting time. For many people including myself its more then 40 months and no decision made. Everything has passed and ready since 2023.

HelloI am a protected person who applied for permanent residency on October 12, 2022.
• First Acknowledgment Letter: Received on April 14, 2024.
• Approval Letter: Received on April 26, 2024.
In September 2024, I contacted my MP, and I was informed that the security check would begin and was expected to be completed by November 2024. However, no updates or changes occurred by that time.
In November 2024, I followed up with my MP again, who contacted IRCC on my behalf. This was their response:
For the PR application, the file was received on October 12, 2022, and the medicals, criminality, and eligibility checks have been passed. However, the security screening is still in the queue to be initiated. The agent noted that the file is considered non-routine due to additional verifications being conducted. Unfortunately, no further notes can be disclosed.
I am unsure why my application has been marked as “non-routine,” and I would appreciate further clarification.
When your security check passed?I hope from next week things will start it's frustrating to wait for 24 months and then again there is no update.
