Hello everyone, I hope that during this challenging process, everyone gets what they wish for as quickly as possible. I am residing in Quebec, Canada. My gender is female, and I am a contracted refugee protected by Canada. I received the court decision in May 2024. My family consists of 4 members: my two children and my spouse. They are living abroad, in a country close to Europe, meaning in the country where I was born and raised, my home country. In July 2024, I applied for permanent residence, including my family members in the application. I have been someone who has used psychological medication and received treatment for 15 years (I fled my country due to pressure, violence, and racial discrimination). My application was submitted by a lawyer, and I did not receive any AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) approval email. During this process, I also applied for the Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), and I received it within 2 months, at the end of October. They deemed me eligible. On the last day the CSQ arrived, my lawyer sent me an email regarding the biometric request from IRRC. I already had a UCI number, and it had not changed. The email included a new application number starting with "G" (for example, G000000000). Is it normal to receive the biometric request without having received an AOR? Also, I cannot track my application through GCKEY or the IRCC online tracking site. No further emails have been sent to the individuals I am supposed to notify. The last message I received was BIL, and it has been 2 months since then. Is there anyone else in this situation? How will this process proceed, and how long will it take? Given my psychological issues, is there any possibility that my file will be processed faster? (On the portal where I applied, there is no update, and it shows as "submitted." The last update is the date I applied. If they haven't reviewed my file or found something missing, how could the biometric request have been sent?) I need valuable advice on this matter. Please, let's not overlook this topic, and let's go through this process together. Let's help each other, keep each other updated, and stay informed.

They are checking your application. They will ask you any information, documents, biometric, etc if something missing. And they will send you AOR. This usually takes 5-6 months.
Since you are living in Quebec for you pr processing time is 43 months from the date you submit your pr application.
For your dependents which are living outside of Canada processing time is 53 months after you receive your pr card.
I don’t think there is going to be faster process because of your situation. Because many refugees have their families outside of Canada and having hard time mentally.

The email itself is your AOR which contains your application number starting with G0000 numbers and bio letter is normal...it means ircc has done initial screening on your file...you can link your application with your gckey account if it was submitted as individually applicant else only your lawyer/consultant can see the progress n receive messages

As I understand the biometric mailing (BIL) I received, if my application number starts with G and not XG, does that mean there is an AOR and they have started reviewing my file? The lawyer did the application, I did not do it individually, he applied online and I have a Quebec certificate of selection (CSQ). Is there any way to follow this online without a lawyer? How do you think the rest of the process will work?

Yes as you have received your application number started wit G it means initial screening has completed and they don't need any other details at the moment and the email itself is your AOR...

I don't think there's any way for you to get direct updates. Wait let other members comments on it if someone has any experience

pr process for protected person in Quebec is very very long so I would suggest you to move in any other province and transfer your file outside of Quebec so that you can get ur pr faster

When I entered the border, they gave me a temporary residence paper directly, then my court case was concluded in 4 months (I had an acceleration request, they sent it directly without a court case) and it was positive for permanent residence, then my CSQ application was concluded in 2 months and they gave it to me. Sometimes I wonder if it is because of the psychological treatment and problems I have been going through for 15 years, do you think if I get a report from a doctor and submit it to my file with my lawyer, will it work as an acceleration request?

Since you have a lawyer then you should consult with them and they can give you more precise information than us
