Hello everyone,

I had to come down to India due to an emergency situation and I will be traveling back to Canada this week, I was here for more than 10 days. I am only bringing back few jewellery, clothes and stuff I had home here, all my old stuff nothing new bought which I don't have recipts for as they were old purchases but if I had to make a rough estimate it would be around $400 cad. When I look at the declaration form it says $800 is exempt but do I still need to put in my approx value of $400 when filling the form or is it alright to leave the value at $0 since I am not crossing the $800 value. I'm a bit confused on this and I am also not bringing in any alcohol or tobacco from my trip. Please let me know what needs to be done as this is my first time going out of Canada and coming back on my pgwp visa. Also do I need to put my travel back as personal, as I am not a student anymore. Thank you again for your advice on this.

Depending on your port of entry, usually, I don't get any physical declaration form to put in. Instead, travelers used the primary inspection kiosk to scan their travel document, take their photo and complete an on-screen declaration before seeing a CBSA officer. There are multiple languages to choose in the kiosk:
