Hello everyone,

I was just having a look at my documents for canada, and I noticed I have lost my PR card and I cant find it. How can I replace my card from outside Canada?

My PR application was done by my husband and now we are divorced, I dont know where he is and dont have any access to log in of the portal fron where he applied for PR.

Apply for PRTD or enter through land border. If not compliant and apply for PRTD, you may be refused and lose your PR status.

Ok, thank you all for your responses, but to be honest, I dont have anything. I dont believe I have a chance to enter into Canada ever again given my circumstances, Like I dont have card, I have Sin card for my self, and my child, I hope I can make best out of the country I am living in...

If you are not trying to enter Canada then not having a PR card will not be a big deal. Assume you thought reporting it stolen may lead to receiving a new valid PR card but that’s not how it works.

You have the wrong idea. You don't need a PR card or "anything". All you need is that you meet your RO (living in Canada for 2 years in the last 5 years). If you DO meet your RO, then you can apply for PRTD and then enter via PRTD to Canada.

The issue is they aren’t compliant and PR card has expired.

Well, I know. But I don't understand why she twisted the question to "lost PR card". It's not lost. An expired PR card doesn't help her even if she still has it.

Believe she is trying to find a way to get a valid PR card and thought reporting it missing may lead to Canada issuing a new valid PR card.

But last I checked, I dont have physical card as well, my laptop had some issue so I dont even have the e-copy as well. Since I was escaping domestic violence, my ex-husband kept all my documents with him, i.e. my pr card, the childs important document, my degrees and everything, when police requested him to handover, he only handedover the birth certificate of the child, and nothing else. So I dont know basically what should be the step.
But thank you for the help, if I am able to get a job in Canada, would that support the PRTD, suggesting that last time I didnt have strong grounds to stay back, and now I am ready to move in to canada with proper job and all.
What do you guys suggest?

To answer whether its lost or expired, I cant say as I dont have a physical or any copy, so I am assuming based on what I last remember it as, to be honest, I think its expired.

Since you don't your Canadian identification (physical or copy) nor supporting documents for PRTD application, I would say try the land border.
