Hey my name is Harkamaljot I came here in Canada 3 years ago. I completed my studies last year October 2023 and thn I applied for open work permit which is called pgpw in Canada. Immigration gave me only 5 month visa because of expiry on my passport. My passport was expired in march 2024 they give me visa from October 2023 to end of march 2024 and I re applied for extension for my open work permit agin in march 2024.
In may I was charged with 5 counts because of my wife. She mentioned to police officer that I pushed her in augest 2023 it mean that statement she menationd to officer was from last year. Police charge me for that statement given by her in may2024.
My visa application was submitted in march 2024. I didn’t not know that I should tell immigration about this charges. Now immigration declined my visa last month which is 18th of November. This month I plead guilty 3rd of December for 2 counts. Immigration send me a letter of refusal because of I mentioned no in my application which was submitted before I charged in 2024 march. So now I have only 90 day for restoration period. My my charges assault and utter threat to cause bodily harm or death. I’m on conditional discharge. 12 month condition discharge please tell me what I can do in this situation?
