Hello guys,

I'm feeling very stressed and confused about a situation I'm currently facing. I will graduate in 10 days after receiving my final grades.

The issue I'm dealing with is that I worked full-time during the summer break for 2 months. While preparing the documents to apply for the PGWP and reviewing the rules, I realized that I am only eligible to work full-time if I was a full-time student before and after the scheduled break. The problem is that I was a part-time student during my final semester because I only had 8 credits to complete. I'm not sure how I missed such an important rule, and honestly I'm disappointed in myself. However, I did read a rule that allows part-time student status if it's my final semester.

I'm unsure whether I've violated any work regulations, and I'm really worried. Am I in big trouble?

I think you are fine because of the last semester part-time rule. You have the option to clarify that since you were able to be part-time for your last semester you assumed you could also work full-time during scheduled break. In general IRCC typically doesn’t go after small issues like this when it is clear that students has primarily been studying and not working full-time during their studies and this was a relatively short scheduled summer break.
