Hello everyone i have a query.

During 2021 to 2022 i worked as a remote/online job as a web dev for a foreign employer while living in Canada so i want know if i can use this as foreign work experience for my express entry profile.

My status during the period was complicated and i couldn't be hired in Canada therefore i looked for remote work outside.

Flashback:
So earlier in 2021 my post graduate work permit was refused due to an error on the immigration officers side and i was left without any status.
I filed a judicial review in Canadian federal court and During the period i couldn't leave the Canada or my federal case would be lost.
Eventually my refusal was removed and my status maintained retroactively and i finally received my open work permit in 2022.

Do i have to physically be outside Canada to claim the work experience? Can i explain my entire case in a letter with my PR file?

Thanks for your time

That’s fine.
