Good day all,
Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, but I have to start somewhere to confirm this information.
Context: I got a full-time job in Canada during my studies, starting in June 2023, and I continued it until August 2024. During this period, according to the Government of Canada, there was a special rule allowing students to work full time from November 2022 to April 2024. As a result, I worked full time during that time. After April 2024, I had my summer break, so I was able to continue working full time as well. Therefore, I have approximately 1 year and 2 months of full-time skilled experience in the STEM field.
Question: I was calculating my Express Entry score and want to know if this experience will be counted as Canadian job experience, considering that I was a student but was allowed to work full time without violating any laws. I'm a bit confused about this, so I would appreciate any clarification to help me plan accordingly. Additionally, if you know of any special programs (such as the FSWP) where this experience might be counted, please enlighten me.
If you need further information from me, please let me know.
Thank you all in advance!
Have a nice day
