Scans of all passport pages for citizenship app

Hello, I am about to submit my application for citizenship. I understand that the online application does not require the applicants to submit scans of all pages from the passports but from what I am seeing on the forums, IRCC might at times request these scans later in the process which can delay the process by 2 months or so (maybe? I read some 1-2 year old posts that gave this duration). Do they only request this when applicants report that they have traveled outside Canada in the 5 year eligibility period?

I am not sure what is the best thing to do, send them the scans of all pages to begin with or just wait to see if they ask. We have not traveled outside Canada in the 5 year eligibility period. The last time we traveled outside Canada was in January 2019 for 5-6 day trip.

I don't want to submit something they did not ask for and complicate the application unnecessarily but at the same time it would not be ideal to delay the application if they ask for them later in the process, especially if its a 1-2 month delay.

Anyone have recent experience with this that can provide some objective suggestions?

I was asked to submit a scan of all pages of my eligible passports from the last five years. This request delayed my application processing by at least a month, possibly even two. However, my application also required additional supporting documents (I got a letter to send those after they processed my passport pages), which would have contributed to some delay, though perhaps not as long as the 7.5 months it ultimately took from submission to the oath ceremony. Still, I don’t see any issue with submitting the scanned passport pages as part of the application process - Knowing that providing this wouldn't guarantee an expedited processing of the case - There are a lot more factors contributing to the processing timeline.

If you're in doubt send it. I sent mine and it didn't complicate things

If you have traveled frequently (such as cross border worker or similar) and you are close to the threshold date, then expect to be asked for the scans of all pages in your passport.

If that scenario doesn’t apply to you, I wouldn’t preemptively give anything.
