Question About OHIP Eligibility with Pre-Arrival & Information Letter

Hi everyone,

I received the Invitation to Pre-Arrival Services and an Information Letter. Are these documents enough to apply for an OHIP card in Ontario?

If anyone has experience or advice on this, I would really appreciate your help.

How have you applied for PR? The pre-arrival letter is meaningless for the purposes of applying for OHIP. Typically you need PR before you can apply for OHIP.

Through family sponsorship(inland) , the principal applicant is less than 6 years old.

You have to wait until the child has PR.

FYI - it's actually an outland application. There is no inland process for sponsoring minor children.

You can apply with eligibility letter. I am not sure about the pre arrival letter if you can or not. But I am sure with eligibility letter yes.

Not typically for Outland. You need AIP. There have been relatively new changes so hard to say.
