I am applying for PR for my kid, should i apply for VISITOR RECORD

Hi, I am a PR living in Canada. From This July,2024, my kid (5 years old) came to study and live with me. I have submitted an application of PR for him (under dependant child). He has finished the medical examination as requested by IRCC. and waiting for COPR. which should be like 6-8 months away according to the suggested timeline.

Now, since he is having a travelor's visa, which is valid for only 6 month of stay. (due to expired Jan, 2025)

Do I need to submit the visitor record for him now?

Yes. apply to extend his stay as a visitor. The PR application do not give him any status.
