HOW DOES “QC QUOTA” SYSTEM WORK?

Could someone kindly clarify how the Quebec quota system works? I’ve noticed that some applicants from 2022 have recently received approval, yet my application complete and passed everything since last year 2023, remains in “Decision Pending” status.

Everytime upon inquiry, I was informed that the delay is due to Quebec’s quota restrictions.

However, this raises questions about the process: if the quota is the limiting factor, how are more recent applications from 2022 being processed and approved ahead of older applications like mine from 2021? Any insights or explanations about how this system operates would be greatly appreciated.

It’s disappointing to see that some senior members quickly respond to discourage or scare people but often ignore genuine questions from those seeking help. I’ve seen the guy that applied in 2022 and got gcms notes saying that his application is approved, I don’t think he’s gonna receive his portal or final decision in the next year maybe ( hope he gets it sooner ) and I bet you no one from Quebec that applied from 2022 or late 2021 has received any news the processions time is 42 months for 85% of applications so let’s just wait and see

You’re right it’s sad to see those who went through what we’re going or know how it feels and still ignore all the questions they probably have the answers to which doesn’t make any sense
