Hello there, please need you guys help. I just got my pr last August and when I saw my ecopr, it says I don't have dependent but I do declare my non accompanying Canadian citizen son who born and currently in Philippines. I do declare him in my application saying I have son but since I'm coming alone, I put him as non accompanying also he has his proof of Canadian citizenship certificate. I am wondering how could I get him from Philippines, he doesn't have Canadian passport yet only Philippines passport My ex and I had divorced and no contact with each other long time ago. I wanted my son to come here with me.

Who has custody of your son? If your ex, then you should talk to her first.

I am the one who raised my son ever since so I guess i have the full custody, my ex and i got separated when i was 4 months pregnant and i went back home in Philippines, I don't have any contact with him..only with my former father in law..my son's grandfather

You need to get a Canadian passport for your son. Then he can travel to Canada. This is the only way.

For passport she will need court document stating she has sole custody and she doesn’t need signature from the dad .. she will need some kind of document stating she has no correspondence from the father , especially if the name in the birth certificate

You can go to the family court and enquire and get the information you need. They can assist you with that section..
explain to them and they will tell you what to do
