Hey every one, i m currently in Canada on PGWP and i have an employer. the problem is that i recently got promoted and my employer filed for LMIA which still under process, my PGWP expire on January next year. I m thinking to file for an open work permit as the husband of an international student as my wife is filing for a study permit. Is that possible? in case it is not possible what are my other options if i don't receive LMIA before the expiry of my PGWP?

Hi, Currently I am student and student can working right now just 24 hours in a week, And I am working under 24 hours and my paid to their employees on specific dates, they don’t pay biweekly, sometimes company pay for 17 days and sometimes pay for 13 days, so in this way, my hours on paystub shows around 32 and sometimes it’s 56, so it will affect me future to get work permit or not and how they will calculate our hours?

This has been asked before and I think you cannot transition from a PGWP into a SOWP based on a student spouse. Read this thread:

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/please-help-transition-from-pgwp-to-sowp-if-spouse-starts-study.827771/

Its from a year ago, things may have changed, but I couldn't find any information about any changes to this rule.
what are my options in this case? my employer has already issued LMIA for my pervious job title which has the same CNP as my new job title, but as per my employer they had to file for a new LMIA as there is a salary increase of more than 2 dollars in my new role. the new LMIA is still under process and the expiry date of my PGWP is approaching!!

Did they raise the salary because you would not have qualified for an LMIA otherwise? Not sure why they would have not just updated LMIA application if same NOC. Hope there is a history of you being paid the additional $2. How long ago did they apply for the LMIA?

. No, the salary increase is based on the pay scale of my new role. Not sure why they would have not just updated LMIA application if same NOC? is this an option? and how long it takes?
for the history of the increase i have my pay slipes that show the diffrence. for my my LMIA it was applied for mid novembre.

If under the same NOC probably could have just updated the first application but appears to be too late at this point.
