Stressful Update BG Info Sharing !!!! Pls

Hey everyone,

I'm reaching out for some advice and reassurance from those who have gone through a similar experience. I submitted my RP application (PEQ Quebec) on July 22nd, 2024, and received my AOR on October 7th, 2024.

Since then, I've completed my biometrics on October 8th, and received my medical report on October 11th, which was completed successfully. I also received my pre-arrival letter on the same day.

Fast forward to today, it's been 61 days since the last update, and I haven't received any email or communication from IRCC. I've tried calling them multiple times (5 times to be exact) since October, and each time they've given me the same updates:

• Eligibility completed
• Medical completed
• Criminality completed
• Info sharing: in progress since October
• Security: not yet started

I've heard that having a previous USA visa and Australia experience can lead to longer processing times. Has anyone else experienced this? I been 4 times in USA and twice in Australia

I'm really stressed and anxious about the lack of updates. I'd love to hear from others who have gone through a similar experience and how long it took them to receive their final decision or a ghost update on their application.

Don't stress over it too much! Your timeline is still alright considering it's a non-express entry Quebecoise program which takes even longer compared to all the other immigration programs. Regarding info sharing, it's somewhat true that it might take longer if you have been to any of the 5 eyes country (in your case, USA and Australia) but there's no concrete evidence to it. However, it does depend on other third party agencies to respond back to IRCC regarding the query/report that was asked by IRCC in the info-sharing process. IRCC has no control over this part as they must be waiting on the responses from these agencies themselves.
