Yes its frustrating. I called up IRCC last Wednesday to check if there any issues with the application as it was past 129 days.
The agent provided me the same status which shows online but mentioned he will flag/escalate the application since it was past the current processing time.
But still no update since then.

What’s the phone number you called? I think it’s background check that’s taking time or it’s near Christmas people usually take holidays during this time so less hopes in December tbh. Very frustrating.

Why so many files not getting further the background check thing and now there will be Christmas holidays. I don’t know why this is getting harder to get a visa. Very disappointing.

Applied on July 11 2024
Biometrics- Already completed from last visitor visa application which was refused.
Medical- upfront, not updated yet.

No updates since day one of submission.
Unable to create account on application tracker.

Just wanted to see if you can share reason for rejection of visitor visa and what changes did you do to make super visa application stronger?

Hi everyone, I've applied for supervisa fro my parents last week on 12th November. I got shocking result yesterday that it was refused. How can they process the application with only one week. The reasons of refusal are common that you will not leave canada and the purpose of your visit is not consistent. I don't understand how its possible that even medical process they gave their decision. We have attached all necessary documents for their tie to home country such as job letter, approved leave letter from job, property, fixed deposites, bank statements etc. Anyone has any idea what reason should be behind this ? Is it possible that they consider this application as visitor visa instead of supervisa ? because in refusal letter they mentioned We have reviewed temporary resident visa (Visistor Visa ) application and supporting documentation to wheateher you meet the requirements for a visitor visa. If any one have idea that if they refused application do they mention Super visa or Visitor visa inrefusal letter ?

They then applied for a super visa, providing proof of land ownership and rental income verified by a Chartered Accountant. Their super visa application, submitted on November 2nd, was approved within 24 days. They applied for the super visa through an immigration consultant, though it’s unclear if that played a role in the outcome.


I came across your post in another thread and wanted to share some additional information. Don’t feel overwhelmed by the responses here—every application is evaluated individually, and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to the process. In her case, her mom is a government employee, provided proof of $10,000 in funds, a letter of absence from her employer, and a justification for a 4-month stay to assist during pregnancy.
