Question about CEC express entry

Hi All,

I already submitted my file under CEC express entry pool with 496 points. I am waiting for my ITA. I have to travel towards my home country for 2 months to attend family functions. What if I will get an ITA, when I will be at my home country. Can I accept my ITA, and return to Canada within one week after receiving my ITA to submit my all documents, or I have to reject my ITA.

You don’t have to be in Canada at all during the process. Do you have a valid TRV? Not sure you will get ITA with that score unless you are fluent in French or in healthcare or in the trades.

You don't have to be in Canada to be eligible for CEC, If that is your concern.

Yes, you can, as an outland applicant.

For the country where you currently reside
The police certificate for the country where you currently reside must be issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application. As processing times may vary, we may ask you for updated certificates.

If I am going to my home country for 2 months. Should I have to make any changes to my CEC express entry profile before leaving Canada? I didn’t get any ITA. I am in just express entry pool.

No changes. Those come after you receive the ITA!
