Non-EE PR application and BOWP

About non-EE PR application

I was talking to a lawyer today about how I need to wait for an AOR to apply for a BOWP. And he told me that I don’t. (I’m almost a lawyer here myself so I did my research before the meeting but talked to him just to confirm).

Anyways, to show him that I cannot even access the BOWP application unless i select “yes” on the “have you been told by IRCC that your PR application has been approved in principal?” question, we filled the questionnaire together.

And he told me to select “No”. And then select “yes” under public policy. Sure i was able to access the BOWP application but I’m pretty certain that OINP is NOT a public policy, it’s a provincial program. I emailed him again today and repeated the same but he told me that I’m mistaken.

I understand that he has the experience that I lack, but I don’t think that he’s right.

He also suggested me to apply for my bowp without AOR with LOE and then attach AOR later through webform (which again, I think is a huge no no)

I was pretty firm on my decision to wait for AOR until he sent me a huge email about the issues that this decision could cause.

Am I being too closed-minded here? Has anyone else been in the same situation?

Hello, are you PNP nominee? if so, what stream/province?
Is your WP expiring and you cant wait for AOR ? or why cant you wait ?

Well, the website clearly says that you need AOR.
But I saw other thread here titled Applying for BOWP without AOR
You can search and read, and someone DID applied with no AOR (provided 3 weeks later) and got approved. It is possible but risky. Risky in the sense that the AOR takes longer than them making a decision on your BOWP.

PNP from Alberta should have received a support letter to apply for OWP along with nomination.
Why dont you apply for OWP with Alberta's support letter ?
No need for BOWP

If you are talking about LMIA-exmpt Cloased WP, Well that need employer compliance from Employer as well which Is 50/50 for me.

If you are talking about that letter which alberta issuing to current applicant who are waiting for Nomination, I am not eligible for that
