Anyone in the same boat?
I submitted my online SDS study permit application on 4th November 2024
Biometrics completed on 7th November 2024

Haven't received my visa decision yet .. it has been more than 3 weeks now

I received a ghost update on my gc key day before ( Saturday late night )
where the status on gc key said "application has been updated" but after that it went back to "submitted" .. No more update after this

I have no idea about this! But hopefully yes it's a good sign for now!
I received an update on 30th Nov. and that was my current status changed to "application updated" instead of the previous "submitted"

For Non-SDS, if being asked to undertake health check, you are strongly likely to receive PPR soon. Good luck!

Hello everyone,
I submitted my study permit (SP) application on May 13, 2024, and I still haven’t received a response. I ordered my GCMS notes to better understand the status of my application, and in the “Eligibility” section, it says “Recommended for Interview”.
This is very concerning for me, especially since I’ve noticed that most applicants from my country are not being asked to attend interviews. This leaves me completely lost. I will soon reach 7 months of waiting, and I don’t know what to do or what to expect.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation or have any advice to share? Should I be worried about the “Recommended for Interview” note, or is there a way this could be resolved without an interview?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Requesting an interview is very rare and usually if IRCC believes you are not a genuine student, faked documents or lied on application. You cannot resolve it without knowing the reasons. All you can do is wait and see if the note changes.

What is your school and program?

In this case, is it a good sign or not?
My program is a master’s in computer science with thesis at the University of Quebec in Montreal.
