Hello, I’d like to post my timeline for sp extension, all the dates will be in UTC.

Background:
Current sp expires on November 30, 2024.
Solo BC applicant.
Have been living in Canada for 7 years, started high school here.
This is my 4th sp extension.
Extension got refused once back in 2022.

Confirmation of Online Application Transmission: September 26, 2024
Submission Confirmation: September 26, 2024
Biometrics Collection Letter: September 26, 2024
Biometrics Received and Updated on GCKey: September 28, 2024
Request Letter for Additional Documents: November 19, 2024
Additional Documents Submission: November 26, 2024

Application Status:
Review of Eligibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Review of Medical Results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of Additional Documents: The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: September 28, 2024 Completed.

Hi yall
SP extension timeline solo applicant
Applied sept 12, correspondence letter + additional documents requested Nov 1. I somehow delayed uploading my additional documents and they were not received on time, the status was showing overdue
Then I called IRCC and the person i spoke to said he will leave a note on my file regarding the delayed documents
Two weeks later on Nov 27 i received another correspondence letter. And today Nov 28th i saw that my application was approved. Please upload additional requested documents on time. Cause whew

I got approved today, no in Canada approval letter yet.

Summary:
Applied: September 28, 2024
Additional documents submission: November 25, 2024
Received BVL: November 28, 2024
Approved (ghost update): November 29, 2024

Applied PGWP + OWP extension + 2 Minor study permit extensions - 28th September

Approved - PGWP + study permit extension of the main applicant and other permits - 26th November (PGWP approval with 2 months as a family)
however, OWP extension + 2 Minor Study permit extensions applied on 8th May - Withdrawn by IRCC

Did the approval of your PGWP and the refusal ( or withdraw ) of SOPW come at the same time ?

Congratulations!

I want to believe that you submitted your PGWP application while on maintained status. Please how did you address the status end date in the IMM5710 form? The form wouldn't accept an expired permit date. I am still waiting for my SP extension since I applied July 14. Sharing your experience would help me as the advise I am getting is to submit PGWP application after receiving completion letter rather than waiting for SP extension approval before submitting PGWP application. Thank you.

if you can get your letter of completion and official transcript before 28-29th Dec, you can apply for PGWP a few days before your study permit expires, that way you can continue working after submitting your PGWP application. If not, you may have to wait for the approval of your extension and you may not be able work.

I suggest you check with your school on the possibility of getting your completion letter and official transcript on time (I'm just sharing the lessons I learnt from my own experience)

Thanks for your reply @kaka2. I think I have to wait for the approval of the extension as it won't be possible before 28-29th Dec. Kindly let me know why you think its a good idea to wait for approval of my extension. You also said, "I'm just sharing the lessons I learnt from my own experience". If its okay for you can you share your experience?

In my case, I chose "other" status and noted that I am on maitained status as student . From the day after my Sp expried and I left the "to date" blank
