It was my first time applying for an extension by myself. I had no idea what I was doing, didn’t submit high school transcript and a study plan.

My sp back then was going to expire on September 30, 2022 and I applied on November 4, 2021. The refusal letter said: Shall actively pursue their course or program of study (applied too early)

My guess is that I applied way too early so it didn’t seem like I was taking high school seriously? Plus my application was a total mess. Reapplied in July 2022 and got approved after 20 days.

This is also my first time applying. My study permit expires this month.

Congratulations!!! Please what's your province?

I am in a similar situation in Manitoba. Please for your PGWP +OWP + study permit applications submitted in September, did you have to pay fees for restoration of status?

I applied for study permit extension, SOWP and 3 minor study permits extension since June 3rd and I am still waiting for approval till now. I got my letter of my completion from school since September 27th and am helplessly waiting for approval so I can apply for PGWP on a valid study permit. My study permit expired Aug 30th.

Manitoba,
Nop we were in implied status. so no need to pay the restoration fee. Most probably, your permits will be approved within a month.

Congrats! All the best for you and your family.
One question, when you applied for PGWP on maintained status, did your spouse received a letter saying can continue working? Thanks in advance.
I will apply for PGWP on a maintained status tomorrow, because I’ve waited as much as I could and still haven’t received the approval.

Hello Everybody. I applied for a Study permit extension on the 9th of August along with my SOWP extension. My Study permit will expire on the 31st of December. It has been 110 days still no response. My course ends on Dec 17th. Should I wait for my Study permit Extension and then apply for PGWP or should I just apply for PGWP once I receive my completion letter from the university- on implied status? Kindly help me on this guys. Waiting eagerly for your reply

if you can get your letter of completion and official transcript before 28-29th Dec, you can apply for PGWP a few days before your study permit expires, that way you can continue working after submitting your PGWP application. If not, you may have to wait for the approval of your extension and you may not be able work.

I suggest you check with your school on the possibility of getting your completion letter and official transcript on time (I'm just sharing the lessons I learnt from my own experience)

Congratulations! I know it wasn’t easy. At least now we know that they’ve started processing June applications. I also applied in June and am still waiting for mine. Thank you for the update! By the way, which province are you in? I’m in Ontario.
