EE Application Expiring - Doubt

Hey guys, hope you are doing well.

I have a quick question: My EE application expires on Dec 6th, 2024. I still hold a Canadian open work permit, but I'm currently working overseas (India) and will be returning in the next two months. I wanted to know if I apply again for Express entry (add my application in the pool), can I do it from my current location (India) or I have to go back to Canada to put my application in the pool?

Will it be considered as an In-Land application in Canada or will it be considered as an Out-Land application?

Apologies if its a silly question but I'm a newbie.

Let me know, thanks.

It's not considered as an application until you apply. You only create an EE profile, it's not an application for PR.
I'm sorry if i wasn't clear but I'm saying that I have one EE application already in the pool and it expires after one year, right? So mine is expiring on Dec 6th. Can I make a new application for EE and enter in the pool while I'm living overseas, Is it going to create any kind of issues when I receive an ITA?

Sorry but you don't have an application. You have an EE profile in the pool, it's not an application. You can surely recreate your EE profile when your current one expires where ever you want if you are eligible.

When you receive an invitation to apply and you finally apply only then it is decided whether it's inland or outland depending on your whereabouts.

It doesn't matter for your eligibility and the eligibility is the only thing that matters when you create an EE profile.
Hi, I'm creating my EE profile again in the pool as the previous one has expired. I have been living in India for the past 1 year and working here remotely with my Canadian company, paying taxes and all in Canada only, and on my work permit. So, I wanted to ask when we enter "personal details", there is a section called "immigration history and citizenships", and then we have a tab called "Country of Residence".

What should I enter into this; India or Canada?

P.S: If we check from the law or tax point of view, I'm no longer an NRI, which makes me an Indian resident again as I have been living in India for the past 1 year (if over 182 days, you are no longer called an NRI).

Thanks

Working remotely and from out of Canada for a Canadian company doesn't count as CEC.

Country of Residence is where you actually live.

Hi, thank you for your response.

I already earned the Canadian experience for CEC when I was working in Canada in 2023. Then in Dec 2023, i moved to India for family medical reasons and since then I am here only.

Now today my EE file just expired as it was in the pool for 1 year.

I am making a new EE profile now in which i have to enter a "country of residence", so i just wanted to know that what exactly would it be; India or Canada?

It's been over a year now that I am in India working remotely for Canadian company.

Scylla already answered that in another thread but if you have another opinion then please do let me know.

Thanks.

It's pretty simple. If you live in India, you should input India, no matter where you work.

Residence is not about your residential status in any country, it's where you actually reside. .

Yes thank you very much. I will relocate again probably in upcoming two months back to Canada. Do i have to change my country of residence again in the application?
