Hello Folks,

I am having hard time submitting the voter id online, whenever I am trying to do it, it says that the below message

Alert
User does not have Epic No. in his/her profile . Cannot proceed to Form7 / Form6B .

When I try to add EPIC # in the profile it says " Error, enter your EPIC number only "

I checked and I am entering my EPIC number only. Not sure whats wrong with it

Anyone can help or in similar situation ?

Just fill the declaration form which is attached. Just be careful never use the voter or ration card in future.

Is anyone can help me with my oci application. I did surrender indian voter id card online but I don’t have ration card on my name for that how can i go with my oci application I pretty much competed my oci application just the new requirement for surrending voter id and ration card part left.

Fill in and submit the form 6 (or 7, I don’t remember) on votor India nic site. They cancel in 2-3 days

Create a fresh login with a fresh email Id. In case it doesn’t work raise a complaint online. They usually respond

Can I submit my OCI application form to BLS Brampton / Mississauga through international courier if I am outside Canada for prolonged time?

I made a typo in an OCI form and had to return it. The BLS asked me to fill it out again. While refiling the OCI form, in Part B, there is a question: 'Have you/any member of your family applied for Overseas Citizen of India registration earlier?'

If I select 'Yes,' it asks for the OCI reference number and provides a dropdown with options: 'Granted' or 'Not Granted.'

I have a reference number associated with the previously filled OCI application, which, of course, wasn’t sent to the consulate. I’m not sure what the correct answer is. It feels odd to say it wasn’t granted because it was never submitted to the consulate.

Leave it blank, they are asking if someone in your family has an oci already. Stupid people do not even know how to phrase a question.

I had the same problem, after downloading my voter Id online, I could see my last name was incorrect. So I updated using Form 6 and after approval, I did my Form 7.

P.S The login profile information and Voter Id information should match exactly to add your EPIC to your profile.

My information is correct, still not able to update it. I am traveling to India soon so might as well surrender there in person.

Do you have address proof of Brampton/ Mississauga? How do want your OCI to be delivered once it's completed?

Main next stage is Processed. After which it moves to BLS and gets delivered to you.

I have a G license. My only concern is I would be out of Canada on official work trip for a few months and I do not want to waste my time waiting without applying for OCI.

It will be better if you send it from local courier like Purolator.

Yes, I had run into this problem before and I was able to resolve it. Do you have your voter's id? or check your name in the online voter's list using EPIC number. Create a new account. When you sign up for the account, it will ask you for a first name and last name- enter those EXACTLY like how it appears in the voter's list/voter's id. For me they had added my father's name as middle name and also misspelt it. Maybe yours is something similar. So even if it's the wrong spelling, you enter the exact same wrong spelling. Then when you edit your profile, it will let you link it to your EPIC number.
