I saw here that some PR applications submitted in Aug-Sept 2023 have started receiving PAL and eligibility approval.
I submitted in Nov 2023, hopefully, I will receive the eligibility and PAL in a couple of months.
I received my GCMS notes, info sharing was done but not assessed yet, medical and criminality passed already, but security and eligibility not started.
Marc Miller has been condemned by different MPs about his immigration policy....hope that IRCC will speed up the process for all of us.

I submitted my application in November 2023, but I haven't received the AOR yet. The only communication I've received is an email confirming that they received my application and that it's in the queue. I'm not sure how the process is supposed to proceed from here, How is it that some cases, like the ones you mentioned, receive eligibility, while my case hasn't even received the AOR yet and they say I should wait?

If you have received an email with a G number then it's an AOR already. Did they ask for biometrics, police certificate or other info from you? I received the AOR in Feb 2024 and the next day received the Biometrics request, and I did it at the beginning of March 2024 and that's all. So it's been 8 months now since I submitted my biometrics. The next step like others should be eligibility and PAL if they will finish my security check soon. From GCMS notes, it's due Feb 2025. Not sure if they can do it on time, likely will be postponed.

No, I haven't received a G-number or AOR yet! After I emailed IRCC about the AOR and G-number, I received the following response:

'We are pleased to confirm that your application was received and is currently in the queue for processing, based on the date it was received in our office. The first stage of the assessment is a completeness check. If the application is determined to be complete, a file will be created in our computer system. When that is done, you will receive a system-generated message which will include your application number for reference in future correspondence with IRCC "

As you can see, after 13 months, I’ve only received this email and still haven’t gotten the AOR or anything else. I’m really frustrated because it feels like there’s been no progress.

Will these new policies or discussions of policies by Marc Miller affect our PR applications or is it only for claimants??

I think you should call them, this is not normal 13 months they had to send it to you after 6 or 7 months

This is not normal. Everybody is getting their AOR b/w 3-5 months maximum. But maybe in your case the file is not completed as per IRCC and they are reviewing something special. You should contact your local MP and get an update through them. Otherwise your file will be in the graveyard of IRCC. I don't want to scare you but this is what happen in worst case scenario. I know 2 applicants, IRCC returned their file saying not fully completed after 2 years. THIS IS SOME B.....S..T.

Yes, it seems that your case hasn't been assessed in the first stage yet. Your time is longer than other people and it's not normal. Call IRCC and ask them. From what we saw here, people usually got it less than 6 months. Ask them so that they can search your case, otherwise, those cases may have been put in "inactive" agents' accounts pending indefinitely.

@Starboyy , @Olives , @SKROR, @Maxnajafi Thank you all for your messages. However, as I mentioned earlier, my sponsor has sent follow-up emails to IRCC twice, and we received a reply. IRCC confirmed that they have received my submission and that my case is in the queue to be checked when its time comes. Here is the message they sent:

'We are pleased to confirm that your application was received and is currently in the queue for processing, based on the date it was received in our office. The first stage of the assessment is a completeness check. If the application is determined to be complete, a file will be created in our computer system. Now I'm confused about why there’s such a delay! My sponsor tells me that it’s normal and that all cases this year are experiencing delays.
