Eligible Job Offer - Alberta Opportunity Stream

Hi!

I'm currently preparing my application for the Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) and need clarification on job offer requirement for Alberta Opportunity Stream. My work situation involves multiple extension contracts with the same employer for the same job. Job offers:

• 2023: 1-year contract.
• 2024: 1-year contract.
• 2025: 6-month contract.

This adds up to over 2.5 years of continuous, full-time work (30+ hours per week). There haven’t been any gaps between the contracts—they were back-to-back.

From what I’ve read in Job offer and employer requirements | Alberta.ca:

• employment for 12 months or more
• continuous, paid work under an employer-employee relationship
• full-time work, defined as a minimum of 30 hours per week

Are my job offer eligible? Additionally, will the 6-month extension for 2025 create any complications?

You need a full-time, continuous job offer of at least 12 months, not contracts especially a 6 month contract.
