What does it currently show in your tracker? Is your eligibility completed? If so, then that's a positive sign! I don't want to discourage you but just letting you know that Background checks can take up to 1 - 2 years if your case fall under non-routine procedure. The only way to know is to call IRCC and find out at what stage your application is at right now! Only they can tell you the specifics of the progress of your application!
In the tracker it says
biometric completed
medical completed
background check in progress
eligibility not started
as I have mentioned earlier they says security not started
criminality passed
I call them every other week to know if there is any update
what does the non-routine procedure means?
I can see in you signature you had the same Montreal visa office
what was you experience
let me know
Thank you

Tbh, I never called IRCC. The only way I got to know about the Montreal VO is because it was mentioned in the signature for both the emails (indicating my P1 and P2 got issued at Montreal VO).

Non-routine means, if your application gets stuck at background check or something else got triggered in your profile that is causing the delay. I'd highly recommend to apply for GCMS notes if you want to know specifics. Just be advised that it takes about 35 - 45 days for the GCMS notes to arrive from the day you order them!

Do you thinks so is it normal to take 2 months for background check ?? and there is no change in background processing status since then ??
is it something to worry about ??
or should I wait like more 1 or 2 weeks and then still its same then I do something??
I feel like its stucked at background check.
But, Is criminality and security part of background check?
because criminality has been passed and security not started
can you tell which series they goes through in processing ??
Thanks

2 months in background check is really nothing. I'd suggest you order your GCMS notes if you application time has passed the 5 month mark since your AOR! Info-sharing, criminality and security are all parts of background check. Usually, they are done with criminality earlier because it's checked against your biometrics - fingerprints mostly. However, it's totally on the VO to decide in which order they want. However, for the majority of the part security only gets initiated once you either have a recommended pass from the case analyst or a pass from the visa officer! Again, these are just factors based on trends from previous applications!
