Here is my below timeline

• Visa Application Date: October 15, 2024
• Biometrics Completed: October 17, 2024 (Updated on Same Day)
• Medical Exam Updated on IRCC Portal: October 29, 2024
• Present: Eligibility & Background verification: In Process

I filed my visa in SDS for my master’s on October 15, and I still haven’t received my PPR request. I’m worried because I applied before my friend, who filed on October 18, did his biometrics on October 21, and his medical updated the day after mine. He got his PPR request on November 13. It’s been almost 6 weeks for me, and I’m still waiting.

From what I understand, SDS visa files usually get processed within 20 days. The general processing time for a study permit outside Canada is around 3 weeks check on ( Check processing times - Canada.ca Canada.ca https://www.canada.ca › services › application › check-... ), but I’ve been waiting 6 weeks with no update. I already raised a webform 3 days ago but haven’t received any reply yet.

Has anyone else had a similar experience, or is there anything else I should do?

Hi! Yes, SDS is typically quicker but it doesn’t always guarantee receiving approval in that timeline. You can filter by SDS in this tracker and see that there’s a few cases that did take much longer than 20 days: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/study-permit-tracker

Welcome to the boat but you are way worried. I'm waiting for a decision since March28th and there are also people waiting since April May

I would suggest to wait instead of raising multiple webforms as it delays your file even more since my agent has done the mistake of raising 5 out of which only 3 webforms have been updated on portal that too in the month of October after which again its ghosted. So, its a patience game and trust me you would rather wanna wait than going ahead with raising multiple webforms

I got my Ppr on 27 November
I submitted My passport for stamping on 28 November
Today I got my Passport back in hand on 13 December
