Hi ,
I recently submitted my spousal PR application under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class, and my husband is already a Canadian permanent resident. Currently, I am on a valid work permit until June 2025 and hold a multiple-entry visitor visa valid until August 2027. While my spousal PR application is still in progress, I need to travel back to India for 3 to 4 weeks in March 2025 due to family reasons. Can I travel to India during this time, given that I have a valid work permit and visitor visa, even while my PR application is ongoing?

Suggestion is to keep the travel to 3 weeks or less since the inland process requires you to be cohabitating with your spouse in Canada. If you need to stay outside of Canada longer, you can consider withdrawing the inland application and reapplying Outland

Thank you for the response, in such a case if my spouse who is already permanent resident of canada will travel with me for 3 to 4 weeks will that be okay?

They can do that. Generally it is still better to keep the trip to 3 weeks or less given you have applied through the in Canada process.
