Were your overseas dependents asked to submit their documents to the Canadian Embassy abroad? If so, were they also asked to complete their biometrics? If yes, when did they provide their biometrics?I’m currently waiting for the medical request for my overseas dependent. I received my PR on November 6, 2024.

Dear CanadaVisa Team,
I am a protected person and recently (two months ago) became a permanent resident of Canada. IRCC has requested medical examinations for my family members who are currently residing outside of Canada. My question is: how long does the embassy typically take to request passports for visa stamping after the medical examinations have been completed?
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your response.
It is fairly normal for it to take months to process family members abroad. The fast parts are biometrics and medical request.HI susanamatya,
I got my PR last month and my overseas dependets got medical request after a week. The medical was done next day and ECAS showed medical results received after a week since then no updates.
It has been a month now since medical was done but no update. I have raised a web form yesterday as well.
Please let me know if you get an update.
Thanks
