Hello Everyone, can you help us. Do we have a chance to get visa approval?

From Philippines.

I'm 35 years old and I got accepted in IBU canada for Masteral program. I'm currently working and earning around 40k per Month in the Philippines. I have 5 years working experience.
My husband is 36 years old currently working and earning 30k per month in the Philippines. His Been working for 3 years in his company.

We are married for 3 years but no child.

My parents are both senior citizens and I'm the only child.

For our proof of funds we have 1M peso in our personal savings and then my Aunt in Canada will sponsor us. She is a head nurse in Toronto canada.

There's a chance you may be approved and a chance you may be refused. I don't think any of us here can give you an actual percentage.

Your aunt's sponsorship may not be considered by IRCC since this is not an immediate relative. You should assume IRCC will assess your application based on the funds you and your husband have alone.

You haven't indicated if you have any ties to your home country such as property ownership or your previous education and how this links to the program you plan to take in Canada.

IBU is definitely not a top school so that will generally lower the chances of approval.

Thank you so much to your advise.

So sponsorship from not your immediate family will not be valid?

Our agent here in the Philippines told us that there's no problem with that. That's why we proceed in processing our application.

Your agent is just looking to make money so I wouldn't put very much trust in anything they say.

We have seen plenty of cases here refused where IRCC has not considered relative sponsorship. Your aunt is not an immediate relative.

Oh so meaning it will not help our application? We only showed 1.5M in peso for me and my husband so meaning there's a high chance of refusal?

I already paid my first semester in IBU.. Our personal money is around 36k CAD plus the sponsorship.
So if you have enough $26k plus second semester and it totals around $36k then may be okay. Don’t count sponsorship as IRCC may not consider it. You are adults.
