Hi everyone.
I applied to the PGWP on May 18, 2024 with spouse. My letter expired on November 14, today was my 186th day of waiting, has anyone applied with family / spouse going through the same thing? Any information on why the delay is so long, I know a couple of people in the same situation, all waiting with the estimated time on the letter already expired. Thanks!

With the new immigration policies coming in place, it is quite possible IRCC might have slowed down the temporary resident application processes deliberately. However, just to let you know, you should still be able to work under the same conditions until they make a decision. In the meantime, I advise, call IRCC and also apply for GCMS notes to see why might be the reason causing the delay!

Hi! I’m so sorry to hear that. It might be that they actually did slow down the application processing timelines…

If you check the tracker here, there’s quite a few work permit applicants waiting for approval or any progress even since the spring: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-work-permits-tracker

There’s a couple of PGWPs waiting since May… You can reach out to them and check what they have been updating
