I'm a 40 years old man from Lebanon, I applied to study in Canada, Toronto. I applied for an 8-months program at Humber. But my visa was refused. The reason was:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support you
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application

But why? All my papers were correct, and I did send a "letter of explanation" explaining why I want to study in Canada and that I'll come back when I finish.
Do you think if I apply again it would be helpful?
I have prooved around 20,000 CAD in my bank account, you think if I add more money it would be helpful?
You think if I add documents like "proof of owning a house" or a car, or a family identification, or family business owned by my father, it would be helpful?
Would it be more helpful if I hire an immigration consultant? Are they more likely to accept my case with an immigration consultant?

Funds: $21k CDN is the MINIMUM amount required not including tuition. So if tuition is $15k then you need to show around $36-40k.
Justify costs: How did you justify coming to Canada for an 8 month program? How much more money will you make when you return. At 40, why do you need to come to Canada now.
Ties to return: Spouse/children, your father’s business is not a tie as you are 40 years old. Spouse/child remaining is a tie. A house and car isn’t
Temporary stay: given you are from Lebanon, IRCC will be concerned that you will claim asylum with no intention of returning. Or just drop out and apply for an open work permit under special measures.

so if I add some 7K CAD to my account, can i reapply now?
But what about their concern of legitimacy about my travel to canada? I don't have a wife/kids. I can only show the house ownership, and that I have parents in Lebanon, and their business here. Do you think it's worth re-applying? do you think that if a lawyer applies on my behalf, that will increase my chance?

I also said that I want to make a career change at 40

From the information you have posted, there appears to be a lot of things working against you.

- Age.
- Your country of citizenship.
- Funds.
- Ties to your home country.
- School/Program of choice.

First two, you can't do much about so you need to focus on the rest. Using a consultant or an immigration attorney won't necessarily increase your chances of approval unless the issues are addressed.

Imo, you are better off exploring other pathways if your goal is to immigrate to Canada. If you are only looking to further your education and return home, you might want to consider other countries too. All the best.
