Where are you applying from? Most likely you will have to defer. Depends on your school. Public DLI may be okay.Good morning everyone.
Can you share your timeframe for January 2025 intake.
Is it still possible to get the result we will process our biometrics tomorrow.
And is it true not there is no massive refusal for those taking masters?
Also factor in passport stamping. Example - UBC is public. UCW is private.I'm from Philippines. Is it too late if we will take our biometrics tomorrow? Our agent is so confident that we will get the approval in 4 weeks.
what do you mean by Public DLI?
Those going to private DLIs have a higher chance of refusals because Canada is cracking down on this degree mills only for international students. Is it true that Masters application are not affected in massive Refusal?

Yes, IBU is a private school on one floor in an office building. Caters only to international students (cash cow) and no one outside the school has heard of it. Masters has not meaning compared to public DLI. A pubic DLI would be York or U of T.What do you mean private DLIs? I enrolled in IBU is it included in private DLIs?
Private DLIs exist to make money…they are private not pubic schools. No Canadian attends (or has even heard about the school) so the school makes money off of international students. These schools prey on international students by promoting a great Canadian education but classes are in an office building or strip mall. Students get a “Masters” but it is not comparable to going to U of Toronto or York, and have few if any career opportunities or job offers. What do you mean cash cow?
Ohh I understand I already enrolled to IBU for MBA. My agent is so confident that I can get the approval before my intake in January 6, 2025.Private DLIs exist to make money…they are private not pubic schools. Did you research IBU or agent told you to apply there? Ask your agent, if he/she is getting ”kickbacks” from the school for you applying to them. If agent suggested that school in particular and not a public DLI then ask if they are being paid by IBU to get you to enrol.Ohh I understand I already enrolled to IBU for MBA. So meaning there's a high chance of refusal Does IRCC is very particular with the school you are enrolled?
By the way thank you so much to your response. I really appreciate it. How I wish I knew that information before enrolling to IBU.
They recommend it to us. They said that IBU is one of the hottest school now in canada especially in Masters. So sad to hear that I was really confused now.Did you research IBU or agent told you to apply there? Ask your agent, if he/she is getting ”kickbacks” from the school for you applying to them. Yes, IRCC is now refusing more people apply to private DLIs.
