Hello, my minor son’s PR card is lost. We have submitted the application with all the required documents for urgent processing.

Does anyone know the timeline these days for urgent processing?

yes, we have attached the police report and all necessary paper work to the application. Reason for urgent is he is missing school and has a ticket to to fly back home soon. The application has been filed in Pakistan as he is there and uncle to fly back.

All you can do is wait. The reason is not urgent but may get lucky.

  • You must show that you will be travelling within the next 5 days for one of these reasons:
    • your own serious illness;
    • the serious illness or death of a family member;
    • lost/stolen Permanent Resident card while on temporary travel outside of Canada
    • you are in a crisis, emergency, or a vulnerable situation;
    • other
  • You must include all the following documents to show you need urgent processing:
    • a letter explaining the reason for the urgency with your date of travel; and
    • proof of urgency (i.e. a doctor's note, death certificate, etc.)

Flight is in ten days and yes it was lost in Pakistan. If they approve it in 3-5 days it takes 5 days to get the passport stamped and back

You haven’t answered if they are compliant with their residency obligation? Must be unaware of school holidays because who has 2+ weeks off right now?

yes he is compliant. Not that this is relevant but his school was informed beforehand of the travels. Now we need to get back as that time has lapsed thus the urgent application.

Please answer the query of urgent processing timeframe from Pakistan if you know.
Thanks!

So it might not fall within urgent processing because it says you MUST be travelling within 5 days. All you can do is wait. Hopefully it works out for your son.
