Hello my people,

I was served a procedural fairness letter 2 weeks ago and inside the letter, the visa officer state only one concern. his concern was that when he search the name that issued me a study leave letter from my employer on google, it's not coming up, when i looked into my study leave letter i uploaded to them, i realized the document wasn't properly scanned and hence a letter on the name was not showing properly which i think confused the visa officer to search a wrong name.
So I reuploaded the same document again properly scanned this time around with a letter explaining the situation that the error was due to the document being not scnned properly and I even added my company brochure and documents showing his name and picture to demonstrate the correct name and with the officer can see his information on google. He is the MD of my company. They gave me 7 days to address the procedural fairness.

The next day after the 7days, I received an email from gic that they've received my additional documents and when I logged in to my gic portal, I can see under the additional document it displays the date with "we are reviewing the additional documents you provided"

Now it has been more than a week since they are reviewing this additional documents with no response and this is just a mere situation. Can anyone give me insight on when i will receive their response?, my mind is up in the air. I even thought they had sent an email to my MD to confirm but my MD said he did not receive any email from them.
This is quite strange to me cos normally for everyone receive response the second day they see their additional documents is being reviewed.

Not strange at all. PFL is very serious and is now under non standard processing so can take weeks or months to review. Nothing you can do but wait.

Did it PFL state a 5 year ban? And this was for a study permit?

Yes it's for study permit and it states that if they found out that i misrepresented, it will be a 5yrs ban

I didn't misrepresented, it was just a scanning error on the document

So you wait. This is non standard so can take weeks or months. Hopefully it was due to a scanning issue and you didn’t miss another reasons for PFL. What did PFL actually say?

The PFL state only one concern. and the concern is this
"Specifically, I have the following concerns regarding your application for a study permit in Canada: I have concerns that you do not have sufficient funds to pursue your studies in Canada based on the documents provided by your employer. An open search of the company returned different individuals than those who issued the study leave letter. Please provide your explanation."

So you have tried to address PFL.

You do know that business funds cannot be used for study permit? If the MD of company is supporting your education then he needs to show a) own personal bank statements or b) documentation that only he has access to the funds of the bank statements provided.

So did you include any bank statements?

The company is not the one sponsoring, they are only providing me a study leave letter that states I will get an higher position when i return back. they are not sponsoring so i dont need to provide the company statement. I had initially uploaded my salary bank statement when submitting my application and it has been verified by them already.

But refusal is due to funds too & it is first line of your letter? You haven’t addressed PFL reasons.

The study leave letter also state that i will be paid half of my current salary monthly while in school to show their support by also contributing to my education. thats where the proof of funds comes in. but the company is not the one sponsoring my full education infact without the study leave, I have the enough funds to cater my education from start to the end of my program. my company is just also trying to support.

You have not addressed the first line of PFL. Salary is not considered, only funds in bank. Get a lawyer ASAP because you haven’t addressed the reasons & you are past the 7 day deadline.

You seem not to understand the concern, the concern is about the name that issued the letter not bank statements or anything. I have addressed that already, I'm only curious aboutwhen the response will come

There's no fixed timeline on a response. It can take as short as a few days to more than a year. Most people wait several months for an answer.

you do not have sufficient funds to pursue your studies - how did you address this one? If you just resubmitted your documents, it might not work.
