Hi there everyone, I started filling in the forms for spousal sponsorship for my wife.

For form 1344, does just filling the name of mine and my wife (e-signing) work? Or does she specifically have to download, print, sign, scan and send it to me back?

Thanks!

Hey Guys

I have applied for spousal pr outland sponsorship for my wife.
All the necessary steps have been done ( medical , biometrics, Background checks, Copr number in portal )and now we were requested to submit the passport.

The first set of photos we sent got rejected they didn't quite mention the reason but I'm guessing it was a subtle cast shadow not sure.

We have sent the new photos. Does anyone know how to get a hold of them or track to find about the status? I'm starting to worry about how long it's going to take in general.

Hi, how long did it take for you?

So I'm actively seeking opportunities, should I start the sponsorship application after I get a job, showing payslips?

Or is still a worthy shot to do it now without a job? If it is, how much funds would be decent enough to show I can support myself and her financially?

Thanks!

it’s fine to submit while you are unemployed but you need evidence to show how you are going to support your spouse
you can mention your previous work history (with income statement if it was in Canada) and how you have been looking for one
i’m not sure how much fund is considered “enough” but you can check the minimum income requirement in the case of parent sponsorship
