Re-Entry with valid VR and expired Visitor visa

Hi everyone,

My situation:
The visitor visa is valid till 31/12/2024
Visitor record is valid till 10/01/2025 (reason; 120 days for researchers)
In my passport, I have a stamp next to the visa sticker with the entry date and VR number with expiry date

I am planning to go on holiday to Guatemala and then come back on 7/01/2025.

Am I eligible for re-entry or do I have to apply for the visitor visa again?

No. A visitor record allows you to stay in Canada legally. Once you leave, VR is canceled. So you need a valid TRV to re-enter.
