I got my Nova Scotia Nominee Program (PNP) At Feb,2024 then I applied PR in Nova scotia skilled worker stream at March,2024 and My work permit is going to expire in August 2024. My PNP mentioned restrictions with employer/occupation. But my employer refused to extend my work permit because they don't have access on labor portal where they have to fill my details and pay compliance fee. My PR file is submitted already but I have not get an AOR yet. Is I am eligible for BOWP (Bridge open work permit) if not then what should I do now? Any suggestions please

If you have employer restrictions on your nomination certificate, you cannot apply and you are not eligible for BOWP . You can only apply for Closed work permit. For that your employer have to submit job offer in employer portal and pay $230 compliance fees and with help of that you can apply Closed work permit . Submitting job offer in employer portal is mandatory for closed work permit.
hello missbee, if one already applied for pr under non ee on maintained status, and person work permit got rejected, will it affect the PR application? the person has now applied correctly for a close work permit after employer paid the fee. you know thats going to take another time to approve the close work permit, will it affect the process of the PR? The person is yet to get AOR aswell
It won’t affect your PR application however if work permit extension has been refused and old permit has expired, he should submit restoration if status application too .
Hello missbee, i have a quick enquiry, I applied for an lmia based application within canada, but then the lmia is yet to be approved. within the time of waiting i got pnp nomination and a work permit support letter. my employer paid the compliance fee and generated the number. i have raised a web form informing IRCC of this development and also attached the number and offer letter to my application. DO you think it will fly since they are all closed work permit , or i have to apply for a fresh lmia exempt application. thanks
It should work . You don’t need to submit another application. Make sure you submit all required documents like WPSL , nomination certificate, 2 latest paystub, job letter, compliance fees receipt, new updated work permit form mentioning Job offer number.
My employer only has the employer number with A######, I have attached but didnt fill out a new new update work permit form or pay stubs. i already received the biometric validity letter, do you think i can still work on the application?
