Hello all members, I would like your opinion on if PR card renewal process is smooth for someone who got PR through PNP but moved after 6 months for a better job role in a neighboring province. (Inland applicant so always have been in the same province for 4 years and even 6 months after Pr and have worked that job for 2 years). I know some people say you might get asked during citizenship but my question is what about PR card renewal, do they really dig deep into your PR status as to why you moved for a card renewal application or is it just a smooth process as long as you are good with residency days in Canada itself.

I would appreciate any input or good conversations.

There won't be any scrutiny. You are free to move.

Thank you so much for your response, being one of the most senior members of this forum do you know why some people are very persistent with fear mongering on this topic, I know many fellow PRs who have been scared to move and even sometimes start to feel like they did something illegal which is a bad feeling even if your move was genuine and only changed your mind due to life event or better job opportunity after few months. Some people are also scared to apply for citizenship, I am not talking about people who misrepresented but people who have a genuine case.

Probably because there's lots of misinformation and scammers out there.
