Application Withdrawn - Incomplete - Seriously dude ?

I submitted my application under International Students stream on 15th September 2024.

I received the reply from OINP on 25th October 2024 that my application is incomplete because the Employer Form was a 2022 version instead of 2024. Seriously ??

How is this an incomplete application ? I just submitted the form that was provided to me by my employer. Also the Employer Form from 2022 doesn’t show any kind of year so you will never know which year version it is.

Withdrawing an application is an unjustified move is what I believe.

I talked to my employer and they gave me the latest 2024 employer form right away. I can’t call IRCC because it hangs up saying I can only raise webforms.

I raised an enquiry form and attached my employer form.

TLDR:- OINP withdrew my application just because my employer form was a 2022 version instead of 2024. They could have gave me a chance to upload the recent document. Anybody been in this situation ever ? To those who want to see the picture go here, Reddit Post ( Picture attached )

Calling them won't help. The help desk can't overturn decisions. Sending the web form was the right thing to do. If reconsideration is refused then you would need to appeal the decision. Applications need to be complete when submitted and IRCC does not normally give applicants a chance to fix this later. This includes using the right version of the form. There is normally a short grace period after the new form becomes available when the old form is still accepted. After that, the old form is no good. Good luck and hopefully they reconsider and reopen your application.

It is incomplete because it clearly states that employer must fill out 2024 form. If not, OINP refuses and closes the application. Blame your employer, not OINP. All you can do is hope but if they don’t reopen then rejoin the pool. IRCC cannot help you.


Updated Employer Form
As of April 10, 2024, all new applications under the Employer Job Offer stream must include the updated Application for Approval of Employment Position (Employer Form). If you upload an older version of the form, we will return your application as incomplete and refund your fee.

You should call OINP not IRCC. Both are different.
