Remove conditions from PGWP

Hi,please amswer me
I got condition not authrize to work in childcare or healthcare sector on pgwp work permit,as i have already employed as nurse in canada from last 5months on implied applied status,i have applied for emedical and will be reapplying for work permit with changes required…..do i have to stop job if yes upto what time please till medical update or till decision made as decision made can take few months.
As my current work permit was one year will it increase with condition if time taken increases

If you have that condition then you cannot work in that setting. So you have been working for 5 months in breach of your permit. So you must apply to change conditions of work permit with medical, and cannot work until approved.

What do you mean current work permit will increase? Your work permit expires no matter what.

i mean my current work permit is one year from oct 2024to oct 2025,if i reapply to change condition for healcare removal if it take 4month to remove will they issue new permit with extended dates or same dates

No it doesn’t extend your permit. You will get permit approved up until October 2025. It is your responsibility to be aware of conditions. Have you completed IME or have done one in the past 5 years?

Yes,i came from india 1.5year ago ,and did submit e medical already with work permit apply recently,just got permit with this condition,,,,my emedical must be expired i dont know i have not leave canada

So if you have applied to change conditions then you wait for approval. You can only work under current conditions listed on work permit.

Hi there,

While I'm no expert on this, I will try to answer your question.

First off, I believe you must stop working in the healthcare field immediately if your work permit has those conditions on it and must wait until you receive your new PGWP to resume working in the prohibited occupational fields. You will still be able to work with your current PGWP while waiting for the updated work permit, just not in the healthcare or childcare fields.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that your work permit will be extended while you apply for a new PGWP without the conditions, it will likely have the same end date that your current PGWP has.
