Hello so recently I was refused a study permit due to these reasons

I am not convinced that you will leave Canada and the end of your stay

Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support yourself

You have not provided sufficient documents to support your host income
What to do I paid 14k cad tuition showed my sponsor bank statement of 55kcad is it my sop the problem or my program im enrolling in foundation please help me figure it out ??

Posted same question this afternoon with my response…

Order GCMS notes. Reasons for refusal are most likely it is a foundation year (assume ICM) and instead you should be focusing on getting into a undergrad program directly. ICM doesn’t guarantee admission to U of M. Isn’t tuition $20k?

How old are you? If foundation, then you are planning on going on to a 4 year program so how will you pay for it. If the bank statement is your parents then how will they pay for your education, support themselves and any other children. $55k is not going to go a long way if they are supporting other family members.

What did you show that you will return? How did you justify costs of the program with job/career when you return home?

As naturgrl stated , order GCMS notes. If I would guess , your refusal was probably because you applied for business and you studied electricity in high school so no link whatsoever. The VO probably thinks you don't have the qualification to pursue business. You also stated you had bad grades in your vocational diploma... how low was it? Regardless, you should fully explain in your SOP the reason why you got bad grades , how a business degree would help you in your home country and job opportunities when you come back.

IF a family business then why spend $100k on a Canadian education. Makes no sense. Funds must be in personal bank accounts. You need to show how you will pay in future years with personal, not business funds. Also you are 21 so you should not be taking to be taking a foundation year. You should be gaining admission directly to university.

Hi I'm currently filling the form for my study permit extension and I'm worried about the funds section. The amount I put under "Funds available for my stay" is less than the tuition cost (my current bank balance is less than the tuition cost). But my parents always transfer money near the start of each term. What should I do?

Show parent’s bank statements that cover the tuition and living expenses.

The situation is a little complicated. They won't be able to give bank statements now and today is the last day to submit my extension. I'm so terrified. What should I do?

Nothing you can do but submit since you must extend now. When does your study permit expire? Where do you live?

it'll expire tomorrow. do you think an employment letter, proof of tuition payments (for 4 times within 2 years about 30k), proof of my bank account with the current balance is enough? i hope they won't reject because i'm applying for permit extension so if they reject, i'll have to go back to my country without graduating

Employment letter and proof of past tuition is not cash in the bank. You can provide that information but doesn’t show you can afford your studies. Hopefull it will be approved.

Do you know if I will be able to make an appeal when they refuse? I can be ready with my parents bank statement by then
