I don't know. We typically recommend people work with a lawyer if they are going to do H&C.

Also, people are typically in Canada for H&C applications. I don't know how it works once you are outside of Canada.
Yes i do have a lawyer, he is in contact with immigration not me. But i also have the MP of Mississauga on our side as well. While i was filling the stage 1 h&c i got help from the MP and she said that my fakily is really good and that there must had been a mistake for the deportation...but thats not important. The important thing is that i have her communicating woth immigration on my families behalf which is something most other people dont have, hopefully it has an impact in this processing time

It’s good you have the MPs help, but she won’t be able to influence the process or decision. All she can do is inquire and support your application.

Assume you notified IRCC that you are no longer in Canada and updated your address. Given that you already had AIP there are still good chances you will get approved.

Hey Canuck78, thanks for the answer, im very excited and hopeful that I can go back to Canada, it was home for 17 years and I miss it dearly. Do you have any time frame about the process for the 2nd stage? what do they check? health wise, pretty healthy man here, and no convictions, dui, clean rcmp record , not even a speeding ticket.

Thx again

There is no exact time frame but you are required to notify IRCC that your left Canada.

Just clarifying CBSA is different than IRCC. You would need to send a webform to IRCC or if you have direct contact with office processing your H&C then that would be an option as well.

Hey Canuck, you are right, they are different, and yes IRCC has my address. I alreday spoke to my lawyer, she says since im in colombia it might be a problem. I explained to her, that since i left canada in may 2023 i already have a job offer a work permit application and an express entry profile. Im just wondering why would IRCC bother to send an AIP (we had biometrics done back in Feb 2024, AIP letter recieved just yestrday) and then cancel it? why not cancelling right now if the issue is that i left canada? Why not cancelling my work permit application as well? that one is been in process since dec 2023, usually takes 3 moths for a work permit to be processed.

oh well.......sighs

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions and give ur opinion on this thread, thx for sharing your knowledge it is very much appreciated; and thx everyone who has contributed to this thread.
