I have completed my MBA in March 2023 and began working as a full-time Bookkeeper (NOC B) in June 2023, while also continuing my part-time position as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart. After working as a Bookkeeper for eight months, I had to leave that role due to the company's business slowdown, though I remained employed at Walmart. Currently, I am on maternity leave from my position at Walmart. I would like to clarify whether the time spent on maternity leave can be counted as Canadian work experience toward fulfilling the one-year requirement for Canadian immigration purposes, or if I would need to work additional time to meet this criterion. Thank you for your guidance and assistance in this matter.

Time on maternity leave doesn't count since you aren't working and you will need to exclude this period of time from your work experience.
