I filed my application in Feb /2024 and did my citizenship test on March 25th/2024. Since then, there has been no progress on my application and everything is in progress. I called today and was told that it is the Scarborough office that deals with my application and the wait time is up to 8-10 months.
Does anybody know about the Scarborough office processing time?

Thank you.
Rami

Oh yes, we all are well versed here. It's slow.

Our application took 10 months, finally have the oath next week.

Just take it easy, you just applied.

I applied on October 8, 2023. Got AOR on November 6, after which there was lots of activity such as interview, test, fingerprints etc. Then from March 23, 2024, it all went quiet. I've filled the web form thrice and I always get the reply: your application is still being processed.
I'm super frustrated bz I need a CAN passport

HI there
I got a webform's response today and it's looks different from last one, wich is

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We are pleased to provide you with information regarding the current status of your application for Canadian citizenship.
  • Your application is currently at the IRCC local office in Scarborough,
    • this office is verifying if you meet the eligibility requirements to be granted Canadian citizenship,
    • rest assured that you will be contacted if additional information is needed.
  • The next step will be to invite you to attend the citizenship ceremony,
    • the local office will schedule an appointment for you in due course, if necessary
It's been 15 months waiting for update. I'm stuck in security clearance and just test completed.

Please, there is any hope in this email?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think this web form makes a difference. Probably they're just covering their asses because your application has really taken long.

Applications always resides at the local office, in this case Scarborough. Sometimes they're really confused if to approve background check or not. For example in my case because I was a PR before then I left after only 2 months, then after about 7 years I came back and applied for refugee status.

I'm just wondering: were you ever asked to submit fingerprints?
