So I just found out under entrepreneur/self-employed work permit application the only required document is proof that I satisfy the requirements of the job if its regulated, and my business is garage building which you can not get a license or whatever as a proof what else is considered proof for this route?

Self employment PR is for cultural and sports NOCs.

Your title is being on an open work permit…so if on an open work permit then look at opening a business. Don’t need an entrepreneur work permit. The self employed/entrepreneur work permits are based on PR applications for entrepreneurs.

So an entrepreneurship permit is not an option. Wait until on PGWP and open business. It will not count as Canadian work experience.

I wish, but my study permit is only for a secondary school and I just finished high school this year, still got 2 years on the permit tho, I am just trying to transition to a work permit so I can have more options because this status kind of leaves me stranded if I can not go to college.

So you need either a) go to post secondary or b) get a LMIA to apply for a closed work permit. LMIAs are difficult to secure especially at your age. What is your citizenship?

Ethiopian, I know but one of the reason I wanted the work permit is so I can afford college and LMIA is kind of okay with its closed permit which also can help me afford college but like you said, so tough to find one

Where did you even read about an entrepreneur work permit? How did you get a study permit as a high school student? Is parent on WP or study permit?

I got my study permit through my sister, shes a citizen, she applied to a local high school and I sent her my transcript, and fortunately she had money to show for proof of funds at the time and that was it. And, about the entrepreneur work permit I went on the the IRCC website answered eligibility questions and when it asked me what the work situation will be, there was a couple options, like LMIA, religious worker, international agreement, entrepreneur/self-employed etc ,so I checked every option and on the document checklist I saw that it only requires proof of requirements and a bunch of other stuff I already can get like passport, upfront medical and all that for the self-employed route which I thought was the easiest of all based on the document checklist to apply.

You are not eligible for self employment and for open work permits for entrepreneurs then you need to be eligible through the start up visa PR program. This is not an option. So you need LMIA

I tried the low wage stream once, my buddy had a business and I had to post on online job search engines as proof to trying to hire canadians first and the process is too much work for almost impossible approval they ask how much the business generated and all of that and I could not at the time, I think my best option would be to get a loan and apply for college but I cant get a co-signer with good credit score. And the LMIA thing is even harder Its kind of tough.
By going online and finding LMIA jobs. You have to show that you are the only one with the work experience, education and language skills to do the job. If you are a high school student then chances are almost nil with current changes.
