Promise to get funds from selling land is not typically acceptable proof of funds because the cash is not guaranteed. Your ability to fund your full education will be a consideration. Trying to save your family’s financial future. Selling a family’s assets without other significant savings to spend 5 years studying CS in Manitoba at the undergraduate degree is not a good idea. You could easily get a similar if not much better education in Egypt.
Can you please name me one university in Egypt that teaches in English that is ranked higher than the Uni of Manitoba?

Can you please help me regarding the above question? Many members here believe that you provide unbiased advice, and I would like to know on what basis studying in Egypt might be considered equal to or better than studying in Canada. I look forward to hearing from you. This will help me in my application.

Can you give me an honest opinion regarding my financial situation? My father works in my home country for more than 7 years now with approx 1k CAD monthly but this number is huge in terms of the local currency and he is currently doing his Phd. His properties are as follows:

2 apartments
1 Store which brings in monthly income
1 Xcm of land
1 car

The land alone covers my whole tuition for the 5 years + living fees.

First year tuition has been paid for and the required min living expenses are available. Home stay with a guardian also has been paid for a full year.

Also my international school fees over the years were 3x what he will pay for my education in Canada. Would the visa officer find him paying for my education in Canada to be reasonable knowing that he already paid a lot of money for my secondary education?

Reagrds,

It is insanely expensive here. If you don't have cash money ready I would never recommend you coming here to study. working for 24 hours as an international student barely makes the min. This is if you are able to find a job. It is crazy these days.

I’m not sure if I explained my situation clearly or if there was some misunderstanding. I have my full fees for the first year covered+my tuition fee already paid + my homestay , and my father plans to sell his land, which already has a buyer. However, I can’t mention this in my Statement of Purpose as it’s not formal. The funds for the entire four years, including tuition and living expenses, will be available before I finish my first year.

Regarding proof for the visa officer, we have confirmation from the bank that I can secure an immediate loan to cover all my expenses, using the land as collateral in case the sale takes a bit longer.

Also some information for Canuck , for comparison the highest-ranked university in Egypt that teaches in English is AUC, with tuition ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 USD (or $180,000 CAD) depending on the program, it can be way higher . This is roughly the same amount I will be paying for my tuition and living expenses in Canada. AUC ranks around 1000th globally, while the University of Manitoba is in the top 500. If you were in my position, which would you choose?

May I ask what happens when a respected member gives literally false info when he/she is supposed to help? Wouldn't that be against the forum rules?
