Hi all, for someone who came to canada on a study permit long ago and pgwp expired , got married, left country now for a vacation but has a visitor visa TRV(approved while inside canada), and is now re-entering Canada but the spousal open work permit is still in process and not approved yet, what should she answer to CBSA when asked basic questions like "purpose of visit , return tickets ? , when will you leave canada ??' please advise because once her sowp gets approved she has to stay in the country and work so not sure what to answer for above question to CBSA

Did they ever lose status after PGWP?

Impossible to say if she will face issues entering Canada on the TRV because she is not a genuine visitor.

can you pls explain why she is not a genuine visitor?
She is planning on living in Canada. A visit implies that you have plans to return home and that you have ties to your home country like spouse/children, job, home, etc. Nobody can predict what will happen with CBSA but leaving and attempting to return as a visitor has some risk involved. How much risk is tough to say.
