Hello, Can anyone please help me in this. My PGWP got expired in June 2024 so my company had applied for work permit extension and also they started doing LMIA application. Recently i got my work permit extension refused due to not submitting LMIA approval. But company is still waiting on LMIA application.
I am concerned should i have to stay here and apply for Visitor Record or Go back to my home country and Wait till the LMIA result

Hi... Me too I'm in the same situation.
Applied LMIA in mid April.
WP expired in July and applied for extension added LMIA application as supporting documents. Still no update on WP ext or LMIA approval.
Did you get any update.

So what is your status in Canada now? Assume you are of status once extension was refused. You have to be outside Canada to apply if LMIA is approved.

i have been told to apply for Restoration of Status with in 90 days

But you said work permit extension was refused, so you aren’t extending a work permit anymore. You are applying for a new work permit. You don’t have an approved LMIA either.

It is really in your best interest to return home and if your employer receives an LMIA then you can apply for a CWP. This is a long process even if approved.
